A level maths, Further Maths?

I’ve got an exam next week doing C1 on monday and C2 on friday

I’m finding further maths an incredible hard subject. i got an A in maths for my GCSEs and thought i could handle it…i was wrong =’(

i do past papers from about 11am – 3pm everday. the first few times i got an E when i marked it myself and now i’m getting Bs-Cs. I really need an A or my family will be upset =/

C2 i’m just basically on the E levels. I have trouble understanding sigma notations, binomial theorems (stuff like x + 2/x)^4 ) and basicaly i’m lost.

i was wondering, hoping, tihs close to the exams, does anyone have any sites they recommend, a system you use that works, that could quickly help me get ready for C1 AND C2.

Even the tiniest bit of help will be appreciated.
in C2 there are several things i understand, but exam questions talks in riddles to me.

you’re right, i have to spend more time though. thanks for the tip.

any more guys :) ?

How much effort have you put into the work? A week away from the exam you should be looking to get around 70-80%. C1 will be the easiest maths exam you will take and C2 is not that far behind. I know this aint something you would have liked to hear but its true.

If you are only getting an E grade then the problem cannot simply be binomial theorems and sigma notations. There are alot of other marks to be picked up from across the paper.

you need to practice more. Have you dne the majority of questions in the text book? have you tried the sample paper at the back of the book? you should make sure you do all these before you start any past papers.

Do you have any other exams this week or next? if not i would strongly recommend you put more time into your maths. Working from 11am-3pm is not going to get you from an E grade to a C. if you dont have any other exams you should consider spending about 8 hours a day. I know this sounds a little crazy but trust me if you put in the effort now you wont need to worry about resits later!
