Maths Preliminary

Trouble with the UC application?

Okay, on the course history section of my UC app, there’s a preliminary tally and it says I still need one year of English and one year of Mathematics. I’m positive I’ve entered all my courses correctly and the grades correctly, and in my 12th grade courses, I put ‘In Progress’ and ‘Planned’. Even when I input grades, the coursework tally doesn’t change… can anyone help explain this & what I can do? My other subjects seem to be fine… and I’m sure I took 4 years of math AND english…

It is possible that one of your English/math courses is not considered a-g by the UCs. If you are in CA, you can check the UC-approved a-g course list for your high school at https://doorways.ucop.edu/list/ just type in your high school name to search for the list.

If all your English and math courses are UC-approved a-g, it is possible that the application is glitching. You will have to contact the Technical Help Desk at (800) 914-8820 (in California) or (925) 808-2150 (outside California) during the hours listed below, or e-mail ucpath@ucapplication.net.
