Maths Lesson Starters
To math coaches, IMO coaches and the like, i need help on deciding…?
there are two books which i am choosing from and i want to maximize my choice as possible. The two books are: USSR Olympiad problem book by Schlarksky, yaglom, et.al and the other one is Mathematical Olympiad Challenges by Titu Andreescu, et.al. Since i can’t look inside the book, can you help me decide? Also, since i’m starting to tackle IMO-level training, which book would you reccomend to be friendlier for a starter. Also, the book should most probably not have calculus lessons for the IMO is on pre-calculus.thanks for the advice and i hope you’ll help…:D
but, if you were to choose 1, which would it be? what would you most likely prefer?
Get both books. You need all the practice you can get for the IMO. (If there are calc questions, just skip those.)
