Mathematics All Around
Can anyone give me a good formula for working out percentages?
Please don’t laugh!! I have recently started studying again after leaving school 16yrs ago. I have got a pre-GCSE Mathematics exam tomorrow and i just cant get my head around percentages. I have sat 6 mock exams and passed them all, but i kept messing up percentages

divide the numbers and multiply by 100
eg 2/5 = 0.4*100 = 40%
or 5% of 60 = 5/100 * 60 = 3
