Duke Mathematics
DUKE?!? 10PTS!!!!!!!?
I’m a caucasian that goes to a small town school and comes from a state that sends under 10 kids a year to Duke. Here are my stats:
Unweighted GPA=3.5
Weighted GPA=3.6
Class Rank= top 15%
ACT=29
Hook:Legacy
I have taken/am taking all of the APs that my school offers (I have only taken 2 AP tests though; I got a 3 on Bio and a 4 on History) I served as an officer in Olympus Club (a club for high academic ability students) for all 4 years of high school. I was a team captain for Quiz Bowl and won some minor awards with that organization all four years of high school. My Knowledge master team got fourth in state for 3 years in a row, and I was a member of ACDEc for 4 years and won a state award for mathematics during my junior year.
Please rate my chances on a scale of 1-10. Thanks for the help.
I put this in your other Duke post, but I’ll put it here too:

I’m sorry, but I don’t think your chances are that great. But it depends how much Duke considers legacy. Some schools weigh legacy very heavily.
The part that hurts you the most is that 90% of Duke’s students are in the top 10%. And although the Top 15% is still good, you would be in the bottom 10% if you were accepted.
And usually at a school like Duke, the majority of that 10% are athletes.
That being said, its possible some of them are people with legacy. So I’m not going to completely count you out.
I’d give a 3-4 out of 10.
Good luck! I hope it works out for you.
P.S. I would not recommend sending your AP scores. At a school like Duke under a 5 will probably be looked down upon.
